Set in the turbulent times of 1850's India, Yellamma is the story of destiny and inevitability.   Inspired by William Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth, YELLAMMA attempts to translate and transport the Scottish Play from 10th century Scotland to mid-19th century Telengana.

Yellamma is the story of Veera Pratap and his wife, Mahadevi's (Sonali Kulkarni) tryst with ambition, achievement and unfulfilled dreams. As their drama unfolds, we witness a greater drama on the cosmic stage - one that holds draws and engulfs the characters into a whirlpool of ambition, deceit and bloody revenge.
